History of “Looking In”: L.I. is a series of scenes that could and may one day become parts of larger stories. For now they are simply cutaways and insights into the lives, adventures, romance and frailties of Clark Kent and Alexander Luthor. They are standalone scenes and they do not necessarily relate to one another. Think of them as Plot Bunnies that are at the fetal stage. One day they may grow into more.

Hope you enjoy.

He was intrigued and it bothered him to be intrigued. Kinda weird. Stressing. Awesome. Clark would sneak onto the grounds of the mansion just to peek into Lex’s office. Sometimes bedroom. Bathroom, but it was just that one time. Honest. Well . . . maybe two times, on accident. )

“Lex!” Clark threw open the double doors to the rooftop penthouse. He walked in with strong and determined steps. Lex was looking out over the city, leaning on the smooth stone balcony wall. He was standing just over Goliath, the 6th century gargoyle he’d purchased in Brittany. Clark had named all the gargoyles. Lex never understood why but it seemed to make Clark feel more at home here and so he allowed it. He’d even gone as far to get name plates created for them. They were attached to the friezes the statues rested upon. Clark would get one every Christmas for every year he’d been here. There were eight gargoyles. Only one remained unlabelled. )

“Just get over it.” Lex said dismissively. And then Clark pouted, like he’d been slurred or something. Lex rolled his eyes and sighed. “You know what I mean.” He brushed off the look and told himself, no, he didn’t need sensitivity training. )
